Stefanie Elwood is a retired high school and college English instructor, with an MA in English Literature, Composition and Rhetoric. She loved her 20+ years in a variety of educational spaces. She led workshops onsite and at conferences, trained prospective teachers, and tutored colleagues on how to write successful grant proposals. She taught all grades at the high school level, including Honors, Semantics, AP and Remedial Reading. At the community college level, she taught Literary Analysis and Critical Thinking.

Having found no useful, targeted educational resources, Stefanie designed several highly productive grammar programs and unique analytical writing and editing strategies. She is known for accessible instruction in all levels and aspects of writing, editing, critical thinking, and reading comprehension.

As the editor-in-chief for See Beyond Magazine, Stefanie collaborated with publisher, Dr. Aura Imbarus, and creative director, Teodora Stanca. She carefully guided articles from submission selection to publication and enjoyed watching writers learn from her editing techniques. She continues in the literary world as a free-lance author and editor.

Stefanie is an avid researcher and worked closely with a team of attorneys and advocacy groups, in a lengthy legal battle. She is a writer, speaker, and researcher for a statewide community group and teaches organizational skills and engagement approaches.

Sydney J. Harris’ statement “The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows” is one of Stefanie’s favorite quotes. She is a firm believer that our windows often need some polishing to improve the view.
